Cinnamon Buns
Soft, fragrant and deeply comforting, a freshly baked cinnamon bun is one of life's simple pleasures, and one that is far easier to make than you might think. I spent five years living in Norway, where I learnt to make cinnamon buns from the best.
In this hands-on class in Hampstead, you will make the dough from scratch by hand. As it needs time to ferment before it can be shaped, we will then work with a dough I have prepared earlier. You will learn how to roll and fill it with a generous cinnamon butter, and I will show you two different shaping methods, braiding and knotting, so you can choose the one that suits you best. We will bake a batch together in a regular kitchen oven, so you know the results are entirely achievable at home, and we will taste them straight out of the oven.
You will go home with the dough you made, ready to shape and bake yourself, so you can put what you have learnt into practice straight away, while it is still fresh in your mind. This cinnamon bun baking class in Hampstead makes a wonderful gift experience or a perfect afternoon for anyone who loves Scandinavian baking and the satisfaction of making something truly special from scratch.
This class is available on demand only. Book your own private event for a minimum of four people, or join the waiting list and we will be in touch when a date becomes available.
This is where I share what I am baking, what I am learning and what happens in the classes. If you have a question about your starter, your dough or a class, send me a message.
